Gergana Manolova, Director of International Cooperation and Business Relations at M-Gas Ltd., took part in the ESGnews.bg&FRIENDS Business Forum, which took place on 18 February at the Hilton, Sofia. She moderated the “S of Success” panel focused on the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for business and societal success.

Panelists Valentina Bozheva, Assoc. Prof. Ivan Angelov and Petya Goolamalee shared their views and insights on the benefits of DEI as well as the role of business, universities and the NGO sector in promoting these values. The forum also covered other topics related to energy transition, decarbonisation, clean energy, sustainable leadership and circular economy.

Gergana Manolova presented the company at the 1st National Forum “Responsible and Sustainable Management of Family Business”. She shared M-Gas’ experience in integrating sustainability principles into the company’s business practices and shared how the company has been able to reduce its carbon footprint by 30% and is helping business and social enterprises do the same by using clean energy fuel and improved energy efficiency levels.

The forum, organized by the Impact team of the Family Business Bulgaria (FBN) Association, was held on 26 February at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia and brought together leading representatives of Bulgarian family businesses, experts and stakeholders.

The event provided a platform for analysis of ESG policies in the context of Bulgarian family business. Participants discussed how to turn ESG principles into a practical governance framework, how to invest responsibly and achieve sustainable growth, and how to overcome barriers and seize opportunities offered by the transition to a sustainable economy.
