On May 26, 2026, representatives of the M-Gas leadership attended the official reception held on the occasion of the 108th Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event, hosted by H.E. Ambassador Elmar Mammadov, took place at the Hyatt Regency Sofia and brought together leading figures from Bulgaria’s political and energy elite. The company was represented by Manager Stoyan Manolov and Gergana Manolova, Director of Strategic Development and Impact.

During the ceremony, the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan was explicitly highlighted as a key pillar for the energy security and economic development of both nations. Among the official guests were the Minister of Energy, Iva Petrova, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investment, and Industry, Alexander Pulev, and the Minister of Tourism, Ilin Dimitrov. The presence of deputy ministers, members of previous cabinets, and leading experts in the energy sector further emphasized the significance of these bilateral relations.

In the course of the reception, ongoing joint projects between SOCAR and M-Gas were discussed, with a special focus on the development of hybrid gasification. This innovative model serves as a prime example of successful corporate-level cooperation, translating intergovernmental agreements into the practical implementation of cleaner and more efficient energy solutions. The participation of the M-Gas leadership in this celebration once again reaffirms the company’s role as a key partner in realizing the strategic energy priorities shared by Sofia and Baku.
